Involving people with lived experience in communicating the impact of involvement – examples from some SLG members

Members of the involvement network at Brandon Trust make videos to tell people about the impact of their involvement in a range of activities.

In addition to speaking at events about the impact of their involvement, people affected by cystic fibrosis have made pre-recorded talks for involvement staff to use.

Cancer Research UK involvement staff invite members of their Patient Involvement Network to speak at staff awaydays and events – talks cover how they are involved, the impact that their involvement has had on them and the impact on CRUK.
Cancer Research UK also invites Patient Involvement Network members to write about their involvement in blogs or on the CRUK website. Here's one example.
