Pause – impact posters and certificates

Pause uses information gathered in review discussions with advisory group members to put together an impact poster. They share this with advisory group members to highlight and celebrate acheivements. These are printed and posted to advisory group members, and given out at away days with certificates so they have these to keep and reflect back on. They are also shared with trustees and the senior leadership team.

Involvement staff at Pause carry out one-to-one conversations twice a year with people who get involved in the Pause advisory group, to ask what impact it has had on them. This is done by phone. This enables the involvement team and the people who get involved to see what progress they have made, to review their goals and support needs. Involvement staff use these reviews to make an impact poster for each person, which include some of the involvement highlights. These are printed out and posted to people who get involved, or given out with certificates at awaydays.
Cancer Research UK – talking about impact to people affected by cancer

Involvement staff at Cancer Research UK ask members of patient panels to complete a survey at the beginning, mid-point and end of their term of office. These surveys include questions about impact on them.
